By the Decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko dd. July 26, soldiers from Transcarpathian region, who served in the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade, were posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" of the third degree, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Commissariat informed.
For personal courage and heroism in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the area of the anti-terrorist operation, the Order "For Courage" of the third degree was posthumously awarded to soldiers of contractual military service Popovich Roland, Kulya Mykhailo, Martin Serhiy. and Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Popadynets.
Popovich Roland was born in Beregovo, Transcarpathian region. He took part in the anti-terrorist operation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions as a member of a battalion tactical group. He was killed while performing military duties on June 14, 2014. Buried in Beregovo.
Kulya Mykhailo was born in the village of Simer, Perechyn district, Transcarpathian region. He was drafted to military service under the contract on January 18, 2012. He served in the military unit A 1778 in Uzhgorod.
Popadynets Oleksandr was born in the city of Uzhgorod. He was drafted to military service under the contract on April 19, 2011. He graduated from Uzhgorod professional engineering college №5. He served in the military unit A 1778 in Uzhgorod.
Martin Serhiy was born in the city of Uzhgorod. He graduated from Carpathian University named after Augustin Voloshin in 2011. He was drafted to military service under the contract on January 18, 2012. He served in the military unit A 1778 in Uzhgorod.
Recall that yesterday, on Narodna Square, during the commemoration of the Day of the National Flag, Ivan Baloha and Andriy Serbaylo handed relatives of the killed Transcarpathian Heroes – Serhiy Martin and Oleksandr Popadynets – orders for courage and heroism in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
