Hennadiy Moskal believes that new schemes are being used in cigarette smuggling

Uzhgorod.in informed readers about the detention of a truck "Renault" with cigarettes at the post in Nyzhni Vorota at the entrance to the region. On this occasion, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal made ​​a statement: smugglers tested a new scheme to smuggle cigarettes based on the use of the SFS server, the ukrinform reported. In case of detention of contraband, the server deletes the shipper from the database so that the entire chain of the criminal scheme could not be revealed.

"Yesterday’s detention of large quantities of cigarettes in Nyzhni Vorota may indicate a new scheme of smuggling involving, so to say, a "transit server" of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine", – Moskal said.

According to him, the driver of the truck "Renault", which, according to the documents was transporting to Slovakia insulating wool (in which 1240 boxes of cigarettes were hidden), had documents required for crossing the border issued by Vasylkiv customs post of Kyiv customs office.

"However, during the inspection, it was found out that there was no information on the shipper and the consignee in the database. They are not registered in Ukraine and Slovakia as business entities. Therefore, it was either unprofessional and blatant forgery, which inevitably would have been found out on the border, or a new smuggling scheme using a "transit server" of the SFS. In case of detention of contraband or any other emergency, the server deletes the shipper from the database so that the entire chain of the criminal scheme could not be revealed", – Moskal says.
