Immigrants from the East, funded by the European Union mission in Ukraine, opened in Uzhgorod "The center to provide information and advisory support for IDPs." It is located at the NGO "Transcarpathia-Donbass", which brings together immigrants from Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The main objectives of this center is to provide different kind of assistance for temporary displaced persons from the zone of the antiterrorist operation. First of all, it is information support, because very often, having found themselves in a new place, people just do not understand where to apply to receive the status of IDP, or how to contact the bodies of the Ministry of Social Policy for assistance.
In addition to information and coordination support, the center professionals will be providing psychological services to adults and children who have come from the combat zone in a very serious state of shock. The center will have a lawyer. IDPs will be able to receive free advice through an online form on the website, by telephone hotline or directly visiting the information and advisory center.
There will also be a unified electronic database of immigrants from Luhansk and Donetsk regions, who live in Transcarpathia.
The Information and Advisory Center is located at:
Uzhgorod, Narodna Sq., 5, office 16.
