Heavy rains and rising water levels in the rivers are expected in Transcarpathia

Very heavy rains, storms, in some places hail is expected.

This is stated in the report of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region.

In the afternoon and evening of June 12, in Transcarpathian region and the city of Uzhgorod, very heavy rains, storms, in some places hail is expected. Strengthening of northern wind to 15-20, in some places squalls up to 20-25 m / s.

On June 12-13, water levels on the rivers of the region are expected to increase by 0.3-1 m, in the lower reaches of the Borzhava river – 1-1.5 m (within the limits of the native shores).

In the second half of the day, on June 12, in small streams there may be rapid rise of water levels by 0.5-1.5 m, formation of mudflows. Due to heavy rains, significant local run-off will be formed.
