The head of the Regional Council, and now – a candidate for Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy Ivan Baloga – met with the delegation members of the Czech Republic Senate who were in the Transcarpathian region with a working visit – informs the press service of the Regional Council.
The meeting was also attended by the manager of the Regional Council executive staff Mykhaylo Popovych and Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Budget, Director of the Charitable Foundation ‘ViZa’ Volodymyr Chubirko.
Ivan Baloga noted that there is the successful development of cooperation between Transcarpathia and the Czech Republic, including the edge of Vysochyna. Each year, the circle of friends is expanding – cities, businesses and organizations. The Czech Republic entrepreneurs start to develop their business in Transcarpathia. The main emphasis is on the cooperation in development of social sphere – education, medicine, culture.
Miroslav Antl expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to get acquainted with Transcarpathia and assured that other regions will be involved in the cooperation, including the Pardubits Region, which he represents in the Parliament. He handed Ivan Baloga a letter from the Honorary President of the Association of Friends of the Transcarpathian region Milosh Vystrchila. He offered to take a number of joint projects under the auspices of the Association next year. In particular, to organize business trips of Transcarpathian entrepreneurs for the networking with entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic and acquaintance with the business in their country, to organize a tour of the CR professional artistic team of Transcarpathia and promote friendly relations between schools and children of Transcarpathia and the Czech Republic.
These suggestions were gratefully accepted and will be implemented soon.
The Memorandum that was approved by the Transcarpathian Regional Council with a good initiative of the former President of the National Council of Vysochina, and now the Senator of the Czech Republic Milosh Vystrchila, and which was approved by the majority of Czech senators is running and gaining momentum. I am sure that this document will bring us the expected positive results. First of all, in the social sphere, and this are kindergartens, schools, medical institutions, which are located primarily in rural, mountainous outback, where the budget does not allow us to do it fully.
Another question is partnership or relationship between the business communities of the Transcarpathia and the Czech Republic, so that the Czech Republic in the framework of current legislation of Ukraine came to the Transcarpathia, provided here its services, created businesses, jobs, paid taxes, and then – raised the social component of our region.
The next is cross-border cooperation and bilateral relations. Our Czech partners will help us to become more like Europeans, and even think like Europeans, so that we could plan the development of self-governing communities, maintain clean environment, take care of people’s health, etc.
As for the cultural and artistic life of Transcarpathians within this cooperation, I must say when celebrating the fifth anniversary of cooperation between Vysochina region and Transcarpathia, a separate paragraph was stipulated as acquaintance of respectable delegation headed by regional council Irzh Byehouneko with the activities of art groups of Transcarpathia, who willingly performed in front of guests. Our guests highly appreciated their creative potential.
