HE SAW THAT: the truth about the war in the Donbass in the photos of Serhiy Morgunov

Today, November 24, at 18.00 in Uzhgorod, within the framework of the Docudays UA festival, an exhibition of independent Ukrainian director, documentary photographer Serhiy MORGUNOV titled "I SAW THAT" will open in the ILKO Gallery in Uzhgorod.

Serhiy has been photographing the Donbass since 2014. He takes pictures of civilians living in difficult conditions along the front line, and the soldiers defending the Ukrainian land from Luhansk region to Mariupol.

Serhiy Morgunov has been documenting the participation of the 128th separate mountain assault Transcarpathian brigade in rebuffing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Ukrainian Donbass since 2016. He was with us at the Donetsk airport, at the Butovka mine and the Zenit position, he saw the lights of Donetsk from the foremost positions in Pisky, photographed us on the outskirts of Horlivka, in the ruins of Zaitseve and on the gob piles of Toretsk.

We invite Uzhgorod citizens and city guests to see what Serhiy’s camera saw in the Donbass.
