Another sad news, another sad cargo. On a hot day, June 22, when the state commemorates the victims of the Second World War, Uzhgorod met its son in a coffin.
The Russian-Ukrainian war, which is still called "ATO", claimed one more life of a Ukrainian soldier and our countryman – Vasyl Varga.
The body of the deceased soldier was met near the sign "Uzhgorod" at the entrance to the city. Vasyl Varga was born in 1984, he lived in Uzhgorod. On the eastern front, he was fighting in the ranks of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade. He was killed on June 19 near Donetsk as a result mortar shelling by Russian militants while performing combat duties for the protection of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
The body was delivered by the "Black Tulip" in a vehicle with a red cross and harsh words "cargo 200". Near the city, relatives, soldiers and volunteers met the soldier.
According to the preliminary information, the funeral of the Uzhgorod combatant will begin tomorrow at 12.30, near the Regional Music and Drama Theater (Kyivska embankment). Vasyl Varga will be buried at the Kalwaria on the Hill of Glory. We expect more information from the military commissariat.
