Today is the Green Feast – a traditional holiday of the Ukrainian people associated with the creation of the world. It is believed that on this day God created the earth and sowed it with greenery. This great feast is also called Trinity or Pentecost.

According to Christian beliefs, the Trinity is God’s three facets: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. The Christian Trinity holiday was introduced as a memory of outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, after which they began to understand different languages and tell priests teachings of Christ. And in the place of the descent, the first Christian church was built. Since then, the Pentecost is considered the birthday of the Christian church.
