Half marathon in Kyiv: Transcarpathian Serhiy Raschupkin won prizes (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

The 6th international "Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2016" took place in Kyiv. This time, the event brought together 7,100 athletes from 43 countries, which is 900 more participants than last year. 

For the first time in recent years, the competition was attended by the best sportsmen of Ukraine. The winners of the main race at 21.0975 km, setting a new track records, were Taras Salo from Lviv (1:04:41) and Hanna Nosenko from Kyiv (1:13:55).  Serhiy Raschupkin from Mukachevo finished ninth (1:12.39) and received the award for the second time among the athletes of his age category.

"It was extraordinary experience. I signed up late, so only a minute before the start I managed to get to the starting line to start with the elite – Serhiy told upon return to Uzhgorod – All sang the anthem and after the starting shot the stream of runners dashed along Kyiv streets at breakneck speed. The course was very interesting, but at the same time difficult.       I am pleased with the competition, such events show the importance of sport in public life. The organization of the event was at very high level, it is one of the best organized events in Ukraine!"
