“Guests” keep getting caught in Transcarpathia

The flow of illegal immigrants does not end, intruders keep getting caught in the westernmost region of Ukraine.

Ten immigrants from Sri Lanka, who tried to illegally cross the state border, were detained on October 31 by border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment. One of the "travelers" was stopped near the state border.

Later, during subsequent search operations, border guards found two more groups of people without documents. According to the detainees, all of them were citizens of Sri Lanka and intended to illegally enter the territory of one of the European Union.

Also on October 31, border guards of the department "Uzhgorod" of the Chop Detachment detained a citizen of Iran. The patrol stopped the man 100 meters from the state border. The said citizen also tried to illegally enter Europe in search of a better life

State Border Guards Service of Ukraine continues to take a range of measures to counter illegal activities at the state border. Special operations involving law enforcement agencies of not only our country, but also those of neighboring countries are held along the border. One of them is "Frontier 2015", the main purpose of which is combating illegal migration.
