On September 17, the second concert of the 9th International Youth Organ Music Festival will take place in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. Students of the High School of Performing Arts (Bratislava) Jan Bulla and Tomasz Sivczak will perform for Uzhgorod and guests of the city. The concert starts at 17.00. The presenter – Katerina KERECHANYN.
Both performers are students of the famous organist Imrih Sabov. Jan Bulla (born 1986) is from Banska Bystrica. At the age of seven, he started playing piano, and then organ became his passion. He graduated from the Conservatory in Banska Bystrica and the High School of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava, and also studied conducting at the Bratislava Conservatory. He plays concerts, participates in various festivals, performs for the Slovak Radio. He works as a concertmaster of the Slovak folk arts group (SĽUK) and an accompanist at the Department of Dance of the High School of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
Tomasz Sivczak (born in 1993) received an elementary musical education in his native village of Zakamenne. He is currently a student of the High School of Performing Arts (Bratislava). He learned interpretation and improvisation from many famous performers of Slovakia and the world, participated in the festivals of young Slovak organists. He actively plays concerts, and in order to expand his artistic range sings in the Slovak Teacher Choir.
