Transcarpathian regional territorial office of the Committee fined Uzhgorod city council’s utility company "Uzhgorodparkvideo" three thousand for the violation of competition law. As the Department found out, the company violated competition laws in the provision of services in the market of paid parking.
Beginning from October 2011 "Uzhgorodparkvideo" is the only entity that has been granted the exclusive right to carry out the organization and operation of paid parking places in the city of Uzhgorod.
In spite of the requirements of Parking Provisional Rules in Uzhgorod and the List of parking areas for the organization of parking of vehicles in the city, the company had been charging a fee for parking on the roadway within health facilities, kindergartens, schools and municipal cemeteries.
The respondent admitted, ceased the violation and pledged to pay a fine to the state budget.
