Three football clubs of the current championship of Ukraine – "Goverla" (Uzhgorod), "Volyn" (Lutsk) and "Metalist" (Kharkiv) – will not play in the elite league next season due to financial debts.
The FFU official website published the results of the ceetification of the Ukrainian Premier League clubs (the committee meeting was on April 22). Having reviewed the results of certification and heard the information from the Vice President of FC "Goverla" Oleksandr Shufrich, who was present at the meeting, the committee members decided to deny the certificate to the Uzhgorod team.
In addition, a similar fate befell two more UPL clubs – Lutsk "Volyn" and Kharkiv "Metalist". In particular, "Volyn" has repeatedly stated that they do not intend to play in the next season of the UPL, and has not even filed any documents under four of five criteria.
The formal decisions of the meeting were sent to the clubs, which have ten days for filing an appeal.
Also the FFU confirmed the information that four clubs – "Dnipro", "Karpaty", "Zorya" and "Stal" – must provide the committee more information. These teams have problems of financial, staffing and legal nature. The issue of granting them certificates for the following season will be considered at the nearest meeting.
"Dynamo", "Shakhtar", "Vorskla", "Oleksandria", "Olympic" and "Chornomorets" received the certificates.
