At the customs post "Chop-railway", during the customs control of the hand baggage belonging to a citizen of Hungary, who was going to Ukraine, the inspectors found 140 pills of the drug "Xanax" that had not been indicated in the customs declaration and had not been reported during oral questioning.
Customs officers found the medications along with other drugs in a road suitcase among the personal effects of the Hungarian.
Pills of "Xanax" found by customs officers contain 0.25 mg of the active ingredient "alprazolam". According to the laws of Ukraine, this medication is included in the list of products restricted for transportation across the customs border of Ukraine, and it contains psychotropic substances. So the transportation, import, export, or transit of "Xanax" requires an appropriate permit.
Although in her explanation, the woman explained that her friend had bought "Xanax" with a prescription at the pharmacy, and she was carrying to her ailing mother, but at the time of crossing the customs border of Ukraine, the citizen of Hungary had no permits for transportation it .
