On October 7, Ukraine more than doubled daily volumes of natural gas imports from Slovakia compared to the previous day – up to 9.645 million cubic meters, and continues to increase the supply of hydrocarbons from the EU.
This is according to the GTS operator of Slovakia Eustream, the "UNIAN" writes.
According to the company, in the period of October 1-5, the daily volume of gas supplies to Ukraine via Slovakia amounted to an average of 8.8 million cubic meters, which is almost three times lower than in September and on October 6 they dropped to 4.4 million cubic meters.
However, on October 8, Ukraine began increasing daily volumes of natural gas imports from Slovakia.
Thus, on October 7, 9.645 million cubic meters was imported, on October 8 – 16.042 million cubic meters, on October 9 – 15.951 million cubic meters, on October 10 – 15.94 million cubic meters, on October 11 – 15.948 million cubic meters.
The application of Ukraine for October 12, according to the Eustream, is 15.951 million cubic meters.
It is worth noting that over the past two months, Ukraine has been importing all natural gas from Slovakia.
According to the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn, the fall in imports of natural gas in the first week of October was due to the fact that the "Naftogaz Ukraine" was in talks with European suppliers on reduction of prices.
