11,094 bottle caps were used to make a flag of Ukraine on Teatralna Square.
The project "Save the nature – help others" was initiated by photographer Andriy Kyrylyuk. More than a year ago, he collected and photographed a flag measuring 4 x 6 caps. This time, with the help of Uzhgorod residents, they made 462 times bigger flag (the size of the flag is 2.67 to 4 meters). The purpose of teh campaign is to draw attention to the environmental project for the collection of caps. The initiators plan to use the money raised by selling the material for recycling to buy a wheelchair or hearing aid for a person with special needs.
