Fuel wood in Transcarpathia is not in short supply, but you’ll need to pay quite a lot for it (PHOTOS)

Increase in the cost of fuel and lubricants led to an increase in sales prices for fuelwood. Prices in different forestry companies vary according to the place of growth. Consumers can buy both freshly cut and dry chopped hardwood. It is sold by almost all forestry enterprises. 

Reference: The main wood resource in the region is procured by the state-owned enterprises of Transcarpathian Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration. The Transcarpathian Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration includes twenty state forest enterprises operating in thirteen districts of the region, all forestry enterprises have forestry divisions – in total, there are 117 forestries in the region. The available firewood resources in the region allow to fully cover the demand.
