Frost and snow are coming toUkraine to hold until the end of the month

Throughout this week and early next week, significant decrease in temperature and moderate snowfall are expected in Ukraine

Accroding to the correspondent of UNIAN, this was reported at the briefing on Monday by the director of the Ukrainian Weather Office Mykola Kulbida.

"Winter has finally come to Ukraine because the expected temperature over the coming week and early next week will be completely different – a decrease in temperature is expected," – Kulbida said.

He said that in the first half of this week, the temperature in the country at night will be 3-9 degrees below zero, and during the day – up to 5 degrees below zero.

Also Kulbida noted that on January 15 and at night of January 16, moderate snowfall is expected in Ukraine.

According to the director of the Ukrainian Weather Office, in the period from 17 to 20 of January, it will be even colder in Ukraine. The temperature at night will drop to minus 9 – minus 15, and in the east – down to minus 19, while in the afternoon the thermometer will reach minus 10 mark.

Also Kulbida noted that in the southern and western regions, during this period, it will be 4-5 degrees warmer than in most regions of Ukraine.

As for further weather predictions, the director of the Ukrainian Weather Office said that on January 20, an increase in air temperature and sleet are expected, which can lead to severe icing.
