From now on, the work of Transcarpathian carriers will be easier: the Parliament approved facilitation of cargo transportation between Ukraine and Hungary

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the agreement with Hungary on the international combined transportation, which aims to facilitate road cargo traffic through the territory of both countries to terminals for combined transportation.

243 deputies voted for the adoption of the law "On ratification of Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Hungary on the international combined transportation."

When reporting on the bill №0098, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Dmytro Romenskyi said that the agreement aims to improve the regulatory framework of the Ukrainian-Hungarian relations in the filed of transportation and to improve the conditions of road cargo transportation between Ukraine and Hungary.

As noted in the explanatory note to the bill, under this agreement, the transportation of goods by road from the border with Hungary to the terminals for combined transportation shall be carried out on preferential terms.

Thus, the combined transportation in both directions will be possible without having to obtain permission for transportation by road, without payment of road tolls in Ukraine, and without payment of tax on motor vehicles in Hungary. This Agreement shall enter into force 60 days from the date of receipt of the last report on the completion of internal procedures necessary for the entry into force.
