The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the law on the introduction of a new holiday in Ukraine. This is stated on the page of the relevant law on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Thus, Poroshenko signed the Draft Law No. 5696 "On Amendments to the Labor Code of Ukraine on Holidays and Days Off", according to which a new holiday – December 25 (Christmas) – is introduced in Ukraine. As it is noted, this law enters into force on the day following the day of publication.
