"Green" market on Koryatovich Square is already rife with the most relevant and expected commodity – fresh mushrooms.
Now is the season: the weather is favourable, and Transcarpathians boast forest harvest. And smart residnets, especially from the districts close to the regional center, try to make money by selling mushrooms in Uzhgorod. Right on the sidewalk near the market, there is a lot of mushrooms to choose from. But prices do not allow to make a big stock. Because one kilogram of ceps cost 120 UAH. The lowest "dumping" price is 90 UAH per kilogram.
Birch and red boletus are cheaper: a small plastic bucket is 30, and almost a kilogram can be bought for fifty hryvnia.
People say that in the mountains the "harvest" is very abundant and good. It seems that the best options is go for mushrooms to the woods, rather than to the market. Thus, you will enjoy nature and save money …
