Fraudsters are calling Uzhgorod residents

Scammers are coming up with new scams. Uzhgorod resident Olga Timofieva has also encountered fraudsters.

The woman shared her unpleasant experience on her Facebook page:

Today, at 12:33, I received a call from the number 067 97 01 746, from the "prosecutor’s office" and was informed that a loan in the amount of UAH 46,000 for a shunt operation had been taken in my name (they knew all passport information). They warned that if I don’t repay the loan, they will block the pension card.

Where do fraudsters get our personal data?

At the end of the very emotional conversation, the "prosecutor" said that I would "burn in hell."

The woman added that "a few minutes later it turned out that three more of my neighbors had received such calls. One of them was in shock." In the end, Ms. Olga urged her friends to share the post so that other people would not fall for such scams.
