Officers of the Khust Police Department are establishing the circumstances of the accident in the village of Sokyrnytsia, where a Volkswagen ran into a VAZ resulting in four people getting injured.
Yesterday, July 27, the police received from the doctors of Khust district hospital a report about hospitalization of people after an accident in the village of Sokyrnytsia. At the scene, the investigation team found out that a 48-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was driving from Khust and did not gave way to the VAZ. As a result of the accident, four people, that were in the VAZ, got injured. All of them with numerous injuries were taken to the trauma department of Khust district hospital.
The people involved in the accident were tested for the state of alcohol intoxication, the result is negative. The cars were delivered to the impound lot. The driver of the Volkswagen was not injured. A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Art. 286 of the CCU.
