On Uzhhorod square in front of the Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater, citizens, with tears of joy in their eyes, solemnly welcomed four of our guys, who, as we reported, were considered missing in the ATO zone.
Mykola Marchyshak, Anatoliy Reichel, Vitaly Furdela and Mykola Deyak – soldiers of the 51st Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade, stationed in Volyn region – are at home!
They were captured back on August 24, when they were left without weapons as a result of fighting, and reinforcements never came. The boys were captured by Russians, taken to Rostov region, and then were handed to separatists in Ukraine. They kept them in the garage.
They were brought home by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Valeriy Patskan.
Two months ago, thanks to the efforts of the MP, Transcarpathians already welcomed three soldiers (after a month in captivity) – Mykola Kopchansky, Anton Shimko and Vyacheslav Ponomarenko. The latter, by the way, a month later again went to the front and the last weekend, on Saturday, September 13, returned home with over a hundred of other Transcarpathians.
Valeriy Patskan told that this time it was harder to take the boys from captivity than the last time.
"This time, they did not want to negotiate. We will work to free two more of our boys, but it will be difficult (Maxim Yermolaev and Valeriy Marynets – there are no more Transcarpathians in captivity). The most difficult situation is with liberation of Valeriy Marynets (the village of Keretsky in Slalyava district), he is a volunteer of the "Donbas" battalion. In addition to Transcarpathians, there are about 1200 of our guys (from all over Ukraine) in captivity. We hope that the war will soon be over."
And on the future of the soldiers, who returned yesterday, Valery Patskan added:
"Tomorrow, I will go with them to restore documents.I know that at the Migration Service problems with that occur repeatedly. I will find out. It’s still easier than freeing soldiers from captivity."
Entrepreneur Robert Horvath, who helped in the liberation of the guys wrote on his page on the social network FB "We welcomed four prisoners. They are exhausted but happy. I met them personally, although I know almost everything about them. We will continue to work with Valeriy Patskan to free two more Transcarpathians. I cannot tell everything in order not to harm those who are not released yet. I can only tell that this exchange was not so easy."
