Four bells called to the linguistic school (PHOTOS)

We attended the holiday of the first bell in Uzhgorod linguistic gymnasium. The solemn line-up, which began at 11.00, was preceded by the first patriotic lesson "Ukraine is united country."

Students, teachers, parents and passers-by gathered near the school, where the place for each form was marked with chalk. This year’s highlight is the appearance of students and teachers. Many of those present were wearing embroidered shirts and nearly everyone tried to bring national symbols – girls had flowers in the hair, boys had ties with Ukrainian ornaments, and bangs…

The festivities began with the anthem of Ukraine. You should have seen how enthusiastically children performed it, putting their hands to their hearts.

The director of the school Lyubov Popovich said during her speech that in the new school year, there are as many as 130 first-graders, 60 graduates, and overall on September 1, nearly 700 students came to school. The official part was continued with speeches of parents, students, first-graders.

There was also the student’s oath, the performance of patriotic songs by school pupils. After that, four bells decorated with yellow and blue ribbons and carried by first-graders reminded about the beginning of the new school year. The celebration culminated withe the student anthem "Gaudeamus".
