Fortified Philharmonic will have the roof repaired

We have already informed that the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic is being fortified . 

"Repair works on fortifying the foundations were started in 2004, but for 10 years and nothing has been done. The first decisive steps began in 2010 when the Regional Council has allocated 88 thousands for adjustment of construction documents. In 2011 – the documentation has been developed and passed the state construction expertise. At that time, the estimated cost of the works was over six millions. Of these just one million was aimed for strengthening the foundation, other 5 – for restoration of roof. However, I do not have enough information about costs. Capital Construction Body is the customer of the service and has more detailed information on the costs. For us it is important that the building was fortified.  "- says Ivan Mykyta, Philharmonic director.

He says while there are some inconveniences during concerts, they do their work in time.

"Now concerts are held in the same way as before.  We are happy that these reinforcement works are at their final stage. The next step will be restoration of the roof, "- says the director of the Philharmonic.
