Foresters released 12 thousand trout fries into the rivers of Rakhiv district (PHOTOS)

Trout fries are raised in Yasinya forestry, where the conditions for fish breeding and growing are close to ideal: pure spring water, sterile pools and high-quality feed.

  The company plans to increase the trout population in the rivers. For this purpose, thanks to the efforts of the Stanislav Forestry, they have released over 12 thousand fries into the mountain streams. Not all fries survive the wild, less than 70% live until the reproductive age.To create better conditions for the trout, the workers of the Yasinya forestry farm build artificial dams on small rivers.

A forester of Stanislav forestry Dmytro Verbeschuk says that the dams also perform one of the main functions – flood control. For this purpose, the forest protection workers build retaining walls on the rivers, which protect the earth from erosion and landslides.

Also Dmytro Verbeschuk says that the trout prefers fast-flowing rivers with pure water, rich in oxygen. Therefore, for a few year now, trout fries have been released into the mountain rivers of our region, which is a particularly important task that is carried out regularly by the Yasinya forestry.
