Foreigners can buy land "within settlements in case of purchase of real estate and to construct facilities related to economic activity." In addition, they can buy land "outside settlements in case of purchase of real estate."
Parliament allowed foreign citizens and enterprises with foreign capital to acquire non-agricultural land. 234 deputies voted for this bill in the second reading.
According to amended Article 82 of the Land Code of Ukraine, "legal persons who are subject to laws other than the laws of Ukraine, may acquire ownership of non-agricultural land."
Foreigners can buy land "within settlements in case of purchase of real estate and to construct facilities related to economic activities according to the laws of Ukraine."
In addition, they can buy land "outside settlements in case of purchase of real estate."
"Legal entities subject to laws other than the laws of Ukraine, may acquire ownership of non-agricultural land in accordance with Article 129 of this Code" – the document says.
