Force majeure in the ATO area is confirmed by a certificate of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine "On temporary measures for the period of the anti-terrorist operation" of 02.09.2014 No. 1669-VII defines that the only proper and sufficient document certifying force majeure circumstances, which occured on the territory of the anti-terrorist operation, as the grounds for exemption from liability for non-compliance, there is a certificate of the Chamaber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.

Force majeure circumstances are extraordinary and unavoidable circumstances that make it impossible to perform obligations under the terms of the agreement (contract etc.), liabilities under the laws and other regulations.  

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and its authorized regional chambers of commerce and industry certify force majeure and issue a certificate of such circumstances within seven days from the date of the request at the cost of production. Certificates of force majeure for small businesses are issued free of charge.
