According to the Transcarpathian Center of Hydrometeorology, on 15 – 16 of January, in connection with continuing snowfall, the III (increased) degree of avalanche hazard (out of V degrees on the international scale) remains in the mountains of Transcarpathian region.
In view of that, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region appeals to tourists and fans of extreme sports to refrain from goiing to the mountains during harsh weather conditions or avalanche hazard. We insist on the mandatory registration of all who ascend to the Carpathians. During the registration at mountain search and rescue points, you can receive current information about weather conditions in a certain area, avalanche hazard, and determine the best route.
Dear fans of extreme sports, before you go to the mountains in difficult weather conditions, please consider whether to jeopardize your health or even lives in search of thrills.
