On March 25, the First regional contest of Romanian folk song "Floare" ("Flower") will be held in Solotvyno in Tyachiv district. The event will be organized by the department of culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the department of culture of Tyachiv District State Administration, Solotvyno village council and the local children’s art school, where the festival will take place.
The competition will be attended by children and youth groups, soloists, students of vocal departments of aesthetic education schools, and other educational and art institutions.
Each contestant will present three folk songs in a nomination, including one a capella. The performances will be rated by respectable jury that will pay attention to the technique; composition, ethnographic accuracy, etc.
The organizers also pursue a goal – to promote and preserve the cultural traditions of the Romanian minority.
