Flag of Ukraine was planted on the highest mountain of Borzhava

Today, on the occasion of the Day of the State Flag and the Independence Day of Ukraine, workers of the Svalyava Forestry  planted the flag of Ukraine on the Stiy Mt.

The Stiy Mt. is the highest peak of the Borzhava – a mountain range located in the inner strip of the Ukrainian Carpathians. It is situated within Transcarpathian region. It’s altitude is 1681 m. The slopes of the Stiy Mt. in the western direction are steep, in the southern and eastern directions, they are more gentle. Below 1100-1200 meters, the peak is covered with beech and beech and spruce virgin forests, with thickets of blueberries above the forest belt. On the western slopes of the Stiy Mt. the forest reserve of national significance "Rosishny" is situated.
