A husband and a wife, residents of the village of Zabrid who had recently returned from France, were diagnosed with COVID-19.
According to the journalist of "Public TV" referring to the chief physician of the Velyky Berezny district hospital Svitlana Holosh, coronavirus was confirmed by the results of 2 rapid tests.
Both patients are currently at home. They cannot be hospitalized in the Velyky Berezny district hospital, as the medical facility does not have an infectious diseases ward.
According to Taras Tsybyk, the director of the Center for Primary Health Care of the Velyky Berezny Regional State Administration, the patients arrived 12 days ago from abroad.
"The patient underwent heart surgery in Paris. In order to be further examined in Transcarpathia, she asked to be tested. So, hers and her husband’s rapid tests showed a positive result. They are currently in isolation. Their condition is satisfactory. Today, samples will be taken for PCR testing to establish an accurate diagnosis,” – Tsybyk said.
