“Finding Ivan Strong” – the first documentary about Ivan Firtsak will be presented in Uzhgorod

January 28, in Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library, there wiil be the presentation of the film "Finding Ivan Strong." The filmed was made by the creative team of the "Tisa-1" TV channel (director – Maxim Melnyk) based on the book by a writer and publicist Oleksandr Havrosh. 

"Oddly enough, but currently it is the first documentary about the strongest Transcarpathian of the twentieth century Ivan Firtsak, also known by the stage-names "Croton" and "Ivan Strong", – Oleksandr Havrosh says. – Nearly half a century has passed since the death of our illustrious countryman, and only now we are beginning to document the last witnesses who knew him."

However, the film "Finding Ivan Strong" is not meant to be exhaustive. Its mission is to once again draw attention to the figure of the legendary Ukrainian, about whom a feature film – "Ivan Strong" – was made in 2013. The new film is the continuation of the conversation about the exceptional person, this time in documentary manner.

The presentation will be attended by the filmmakers as well as family, relatives and fellow villagers of Ivan Firtsak.
