"Invisible Battalion" – a documentary series of stories about women participating in the war in the East of Ukraine – will be presented in Transcarpathia.
"Invisible Battalion" is Ukrainian documentary film almanac about women in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The first Ukrainian documentary about war and women in war made by women.
Three directors – Svitlana Lishchynska, Alina Horlova and Irina Tsilyk – were working on the films. The film tells the stories of six heroines who are serving or were serving in the area of the anti-terrorist operation: Olena Bilozerska, Oksana Yakubova, Andriana Susak, Daria Zubenko, Yulia Payevska and Yulia Matviyenko.
The project began with the sociological research on the participation of women in the war against the Russian occupation army, after which a series of calendars with photos of women on the front was published. The photo exhibition was exhibited in the Ukrainian Parliament and the Ministry of Defense. The "Invisible Battalion" calendar was awarded the Grand Prix at the National Social Advertising Competition.
One of the directors, Irina Tsilyk, personally invites to the shows. She wrote:
"Mukachevo, Uzhgorod, we are coming to show you our documentary "Invisible Battalion".
We are one of the heroines Dasha Zubenko, I, as one of three directors of the film, Irina Tsilyk, and my son Andriy, who has nothing to do with the film, but he has never been in Transcarpathia before."
The schedule is as follows:
August 12. Mukachevo castle. 18:00. The admission is free.
August 13. Mukachevo, "Peremoha" cinema, 18:00. The admission is free.
August 14. Uzhgorod. "Domion" cinema, 17:30. The admission is free.
