The Main Office of the Migration Service of Transcarpathia hosted a meeting on counteraction to illegal migration with the participation of the heads of territorial units. The main topic of the discussion was the practical aspects of the implementation of targeted preventive measures ttiled "Migrant", which started on March 1.
The head of the Main Office of the State Migration Service in the region Igor Mykhailyshyn stressed on the need for clear interaction with all the services involved, exchange of information on the places of possible stay of foreigners and stateless persons who are illegally staying in our country.
During the first week of the practical stage of the operation "Migrant", 46 violators of migration legislation have been brought to administrative responsibility, fines in amount of almost UAH 50 thousand have been imposed. Regarding 9 foreign citizens, the decision on deportation to their country of origin was made, Olga Poshtak, Chief Public Relations Specialist of the Main Office of the State Migration Service in Transcarpathian region, informs.
