On the Mukachevo – Rohatyn highway, the driver of a VAZ – 2108 crashed into a truck crane. A 50-year-old passenger of the car died in hospital. An investigation over this incident has been initiated.
On December 2, at 5:25 pm, the police received a report that a road accident had occurred on the Mukachevo – Rohatyn highway, near the village of Verkhniy Koropets.
At the scene of the accident, law enforcement officers found out that the driver of a VAZ-2108, a 49-year-old resident of the village of Kuchava, drove onto the oncoming lane and collided with a truck crane. The latter was driven by a 65-year-old resident of Mukachevo.
As a result of the injuries, a 50-year-old passenger of the car died in hospital.
The circumstances and cause of the car accident are investigated by law enforcement. Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The vehicle was taken to the Mukachevo police impound lot.
