Fatal accident near Rakoshino

Transcarpathian police gathered preliminary information in the case of a fatal accident that happened in Mukachevo district.

As a result of the accident, a pedestrian died on the spot. This was reported by the communications department of the regional police, the Depo.Transcarpathia. The accident happened yesterday, July 23, at about 19:00, near Rakoshino in Mukachevo district. Law enforcement officers found out that a 45-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Touareg, one of the officials of the SFS in Transcarpathian region Zakarpattya, in the village of Rakoshino hit a 23-year-old resident of the village of Strabichovo in Mukachevo district. The employee of the road service was repairing the road dressing. As a result of the accident, the victim died on the spot. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital. He is in the ICU. In addition, medical examination was carried out. The test showed no alcohol in the driver’s blood. Police gathered preliminary information on this incident. The case has signs of a crime under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of safety rules that led to the death of the victim).
