A delegation from the Austrian Rescue Service paid an official visit to Uzhgorod today. The guests met with colleagues, representatives of the city and regional authorities and in the evening came to the Central city hospital to present the Golden Cross of the Rescue Service to one of the famous cardiologists of Transcarpathia and Uzhgorod, in particular, Oleksandr Sabinin.
The high Austrian award was presented to the Uzhgorod doctor by the head of the Austrian Rescue Service Dave Koller. He emphasized that the Golden Cross is awarded to people who have earned the title of "rescuer" throughout their lives and daily work.
The Head of the World Embassy in Ukraine Viktor Golin, who accompanied the delegation, said that the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Igor Bondarenko, had asked to congratulate Oleksandr Sabinin on receiving the high award from the Austrian Government.
