“Family” was brought to Uzhgorod

Dmytro Keshelya’s novel caused a great hype at the "Book Arsenal". And now, the author together with the publisher and the head of the Transcarpathian Organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine Vasyl Husti presented the book in the Transcarpathian Regional Library.

The director of the publishing house "Academia" Vasyl Teremko said that he had long been impressed by the works of D.Keshelya. "A reader responds to the signals he or she knows. And D.Keshelya’s books are as if about my own relatives," – the publisher said. Instead, the author said that lately he has been living away from people, in his native village, together with the characters of his works.

Literary critic Dmytro Fedaka noted multiculturalism of the author’s novels, which could be seen already in the debut collection "The Green Rain Tree." Mykhailo Roshko said that Transcarpathia has been a part of many countries, but Keshelya’s Lovachka is a kind of Transcarpathian capital.

Yuriy Bidzilya, the head of the UzhNU department believes that Transcarpathia should be known not for thriving smuggling and separatism, but for such talented works.
