On December 27th, the popular Christmas tale by the German writer E.T.A.Hoffmann "Mouse King or The Nutcracker" was presented on the stage of the Transcarpathian Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater. The co-creation of the director Oleksandr Sarkisyants, talented actors, choreographers, musical artists and set designers of the theater gave the audience an unforgettable experience: the favorite story with magic, strife, and the triumph of good turned out to be very bright and interesting.
As for the coming year, the staff of the largest theater in the region have many plans, especially since the year 2016 is the jubilee year for the theater. The staff plan to celebrate their 70th anniversary on March 27 (the International Day of Theatre), but the landmark date will be preceded by another jubilee – on January 29, the artistic director of the theatre Vasyl Shershun will celebrate his 60th anniversary. And since, as a true artist, he loves to give presents to his fans on his own birthday, the director will present the audience the long promised musical comedy "Adventures of the Good Soldier Schweik." The premiere is scheduled for January 31.
