On July 4, there was the meeting of the Director-General of the "UZ" Boris Ostapyuk with members of the initiative group to address the issue of train routes Vladislav Posmityukha, the head of the initiative group Ivan Shostak, the head of the Federation of transport employers Orest Klympush, the deputy director of the CBR Fedir Hamor.
This was reported by one of the participants of the meeting – Vladislav Posmityukha.
As directed by the Director-General of the "UZ" Boris Ostapyuk, starting tentatively on August 4, the direct train Kyiv-Rakhiv will be running during August and September to study the traffic flow.
Time of the departure from Kyiv is tentatively at 15.39, the arrival to the station Rakhiv is at 11.15, departure from Rakhiv is at 13.30, and arrival to Kyiv is at 06.10. The final schedule of the train will be notified in due course, Mr. Posmitykha said.
Currently experts of the "UZ", taking into account comments of Vladislav Posmityukha, Ivan Shostak, Fedir Hamor, Orest Klympush, are developing the schedule of the train Kyiv-Rakhiv and changing the route of the train № 143 "Kyiv – Ivano-Frankivsk."
As previously reported, in the opinion of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the only obstacle to opening a new Kyiv – Rakhiv route is the expected low occupancy of the train. This position is erroneous and contrary to the analytical material presented – the activists say.
