Exhibition-fair “TourEuroCenter – Transcarpathia” has opened in Uzhgorod

Today, the traditional exhibition-fair "TourEuroCenter – Transcarpathia" has solemnly opened in the "Owl’s Nest" in Uzhgorod – thus began the International Tourism Week, which will last until the Day of Tourism in Ukraine, which will be celebrated on September 27.

"TourEuroCenter – Transcarpathia 2019" is already the XVIII International Tourism Business Forum, where the most important issues about the development of the tourism industry are discussed, representatives of the tourism and recreation industry from different countries, regions of Ukraine, districts of our region present their proposals, opportunities, services, have an opportunity to learn about new development trends, more about potential clients, etc. Several dozens of Transcarpathian tour operators, owners of accommodation and catering establishments, rural estates, economic entities providing services for organizing outdoor activities, manufacturers of gastronomic products are widely represented.

More than 70 exhibitors are taking part this year’s fair, including 15 from abroad: Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany.

At the grand opening, the large-scale event was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis, the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Hetmanenko, the Mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv, the Economic Diplomat of the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod Daniel Caban. Diplomats, heads of regional institutions and agencies, state authorities and local self-government bodies took part in the event.

The closing ceremony of the XVIII International Tourism Exhibition-Fair "TourEuroCenter – Transcarpathia 2019" will take place at 17.30 – 18.00, but it will run until 20.00.
