The week-long training at the SES of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region started today. It will be conducted by Polish rescuers under the project "Increasing the Capacity of the Operational Units of the SES in Transcarpathian region" being implemented by the iHELP Institute Foundation and funded by the Polish Cooperation Program for the Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The venue of the first class was the Special Purpose Rescue Squad. There, lectures on the topic: "First aid to the victims of a traffic accident" was delivered for the specialists of the emergency departments, radiation and chemical protection group and the mountain rescuers.
The Polish rescuers told about the practice that is being introduced in their country and discussed in detail the dangers that can be inflicted to the rescuer himself during the elimination of accidents: spillage of flammable substances, electric shock, dangerous animals and more. The focus was also on the procedure that allows not only to save lives of a road accident victims, but also to protect yourself from danger.
Tomorrow, the training will continue on the territory of the 14th state fire and rescue unit of the city of Uzhgorod, the SES Office in Transcarpathian region informs.
