Today, around 4 am, Uzhgorod patrol policemen received a report about a theft on Mynaiska street, the press service of the Patrol police of Transcarpathia informs. The applicant stated that an unknown person was loading in a car things that obviously did not belong to him.
At the scene, the inspectors found a man who was putting paving tiles into his car. When he saw the patrol policemen, he closed the trunk and said that he was waiting for a friend.
And when he was asked about the paving tiles, he said that he had taken them from the bus stop, because he needed them at home. The patrol policemen informed the man that he was facing criminal charges and called the investigators.
During the guarding of the scene, the suspected thief began to resist patrol policemen. Then he got into the car and began to flee, running over a policewoman who suffered a injuries. He was stopped and detained on Hrushevsky street.
The citizen is charged with two criminal offenses: theft and inflicting bodily harm to a law enforcement officer performing official duties. The legal classification and further circumstances of the case will be established by investigators.
