Everybody is paid in full

Two news from the government for parents of the children born in 2013. The first one is good: the amount of the payments has been increased. Now for the first child they will be giving 330 UAH more, ie 29,160 UAH, for the second one – 4,000 more (58,320), for the third one – 8,500 more (116,640).

 The second news is bad – the payments are delayed. Reports about problems with payment of "children’s" money come from different regions of Ukraine.    

This information was reported to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov through his account in the social network Facebook. He was indignant, accused local authorities of delays, because, he said, he knew that the funds for payments had been allocated.

The Minister of Social Policy Nataliya Korolevska attributed the delays in payments to technical reasons. "The new provosion has been registered.Previously, the certificates of family composition were issued by HOO, and now these documents, according to the new provision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, shall be drawn out by Migration Service. But they have not yet established the procedure for issuing certificates" – she explained and promised to solve the problem as soon as possible.

However, the department of labor and social protection of Uzhgorod city hall categorically refute any problems with the payment of the money for children. "We have transferred the full amount for January, as we received state subvention on time and in full," – the head of the department Andriana Sushko said. According to her, she has not even heard of any problems with payments.If the money has not yet been received by the parents of children born in 2013, it was only because they have not yet obtained the required documents.

As for problems with issuing certificates of family members, Ms. Andriana has not heard about them either.     By the way, in January welfare payments in Uzhgorod amounted to 7.795 million hryvnias.

The Director of Social Welfare Department of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Victor Matsola also claims that in the first month of the year in Transcarpathia there was no problem with the "children’s" money. "In January everybody received payments, including the parents of newborns, who have already submitted the documents.I have nothing else to add," – the official said. According to him, our housing operation offices continue to issue certificates, until migration service take over this function. So now, delay may occur in only one case: if in some remote mountain village a postman fails to bring money on time because of snowfall …
