Ukraine’s largest state energy holding "Naftogaz of Ukraine" every month receives from the "Gazprom" 100 million dollars for the transit of Russian gas to the EU through Ukraine.
The was said by the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mining Industry Igor Didenko, the UNIAN reported.
When asked about monthly payments of the "Gazprom" to the "Naftogaz" for gas transit, Didenko said: "More than 100 million dollars."
As reported, on April 30, 2015, the "Naftogaz of Ukraine" filed to the Stockholm court a claim for $ 10 billion under the arbitration against the "Gazprom" regarding the contract for the transit of gas, thereby increasing the total amount of the two claims to 16 billion dollars.
According to the report of the "Naftogaz", the company wants to make the "Gazprom" compensate for underpayment of transit fees since 2010.
In addition, the "Naftogaz" claims on the default by the "Gazprom" regarding the volume of gas transit through Ukraine, which has been steadily dropping since 2010.
