European business negatively evaluates the tax reform in Ukraine

European business IS disappointed with tax innovations.

According to the survey, which was conducted by the European Business Association, 62% of the experts perceive the innovations negatively.

They believe that tax reform is unsatisfactory, many rules are underdeveloped, controversial and generally there is no comprehensive approach to tax reform.

The survey involved 75 financial directors and accountants of companies – mainly representatives of large and medium-sized European business that operates in Ukraine.

In particular, 61% of respondents believe that reducing the number of taxes from 22 to 11 cannot really reduce the fiscal burden. According to them, it is not reduction but grouping of certain taxes.

Even greater percentage of respondents negatively assessed the results of the implementation of the new progressive scale of individual incometax rates. 80% of respondents believe that this step will not promote the legalization of wages.

  

The Association concludes that although it is expected that the administration of income tax will be facilitate, a total tax burden on legitimate business in 2015 has increased.
