Euro 2012 fans saw the unfounded accusations against Ukraine

Euro-2012 fans will bring from Ukraine the positive impression. This was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostiantyn Hryshchenko, informs the press service of ‘The Party of Regions’.

‘The fans will bring with them positive impression about our country, and then tens of thousands of others will come after the heard stories to get personally acquainted with the Ukrainian food and the Ukrainian culture’ – said the minister.

He said that on the eve of Euro 2012 against Ukraine was resolved slanderous campaign.

‘The fans, who come to Ukraine, personally convinced that accusations are unfounded which were heard to the address of Ukraine from foreign mass media, beginning from the Guardian and ending with BBC’ – said Hryshchenko, commenting on the reluctance of some politicians to attend matches in Ukraine.

The Minister pointed out that those who are not interesting in football always find a reason to stay away.

‘If someone likes watching the matches, sitting with a beer in front of TV – it is his right. We invite all the fans, including politicians’, – said the Foreign Minister.

As it was reported, a group of British fans during their walk before the match in Donetsk carried through the city improvised coffin that symbolized the protest against the English words of journalist Campbell, who said in his film, that from Ukraine you can return in a coffin. In addition to the coffin, the British were holding posters with texts: ‘You’re wrong! Campbell’ and ‘We’ll do what we want’. The fans from England have repeatedly stressed that they have never faced problems, that were mentioned in the BBC film.
