EU simplified the procedure for issuance of Schengen visas to Ukrainians

The EU has reduced the list of documents required for Ukrainians to receive Schengen visa. This was stated by the Director of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis.

"On April 29, the European Commission approved a list of documents to be submitted by citizens of Ukraine to consular posts of the Member States of the European Union on the territory of Ukraine for visa issuance" – Perebyinis said, the Segodnya informed.

Perebyinis said that the list provides that Ukrainians applying for Schengen visa must submit four documents confirming the purpose of the trip, the source of income in Ukraine, the availability of funds for travel, proof of accommodation during the stay in the Schengen area. He also stressed that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expects the increase in the number of multiple-entry visas valid for 3 to 5 years.

Earlier it was reported that the United States will be issuing visas to Ukrainians valid for 10 years.
